One of the guys in the office found a roach in the rice. Too bad I actually used to like this place. If anyone knows how to report these types of incidents to the health department please do.

Still rockin'! I actually stopped ordering Shrimp with Lobster sauce because, it seems, like black beans aren't used anymore (or very sparingly). I had the Tomato Pepper Steak w/Chow fun and WOW it blew me away. YES THERE WAS BLACK BEANS IN ALL THEIR GLORY! Im guessing its new people again ***but quality is maintained in fine style***

A place that is off on the street and serves very good fried rice with bits of ham and pork all over. This place is better than some other small eateries for Chinese food. A small sit down with a television.

Order elsewhere. I've been ordering from this page for about a year now. All of a sudden they can't seem to find my address. By the time I got my food it was cold and soggy. I called the restaurant and they couldn't care less. So disappointed that they treat their customers this way. 18 bucks for cold, soggy, tasteless food

Blech! No, thanks. Ordered food "to go". Everything was soy sauce over loaded. We ordered different dishes; they all tasted the same. It seemed like they used the same sauce and just put different ingredients in it. There were no vegetables at all in the chicken fried rice and and the chicken were the size of my pinky nails and there were about only 10 pieces of those in the dish. The phone number on their website is wrong (847-842-9810). The Yelp listing says: 847-472-9810.

My boyfriend and I ordered from China Garden at least once a week..... Till the changed owners. Ever since then, the food tastes a little off, a little old.. and yeah, the bathroom will be a close friend after eating here. Biggest disappointment ever.

We love their food. I really like the open kitchen (no secrets... LOL). It is the best Chinese restaurant I have found in the area. I love the online ordering option, it is very convenient. The dining area is clean, but not much ambiance. Think, take out food with some seating. If you are looking for Good food and Good prices, this is the place to go!

Great food! Really Cheap!!!! I was on a diet where I didn't eat starches (grains, potatoes, etc) and this place was one of the few I could eat at. Oh man! it was CHEAP! and they gave you a ton of food! and it wasn't crappy chinese! LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE! unless you like flavorless food, I would put my word on the line for this place. DO IT!! will not disappoint

Good Crab Rangoon and excellent food. I got chicken and peapods and the sauce was light and flavorful and the peapods were good. Dinner partner got extra spicy Kung Pao Chicken but it wasn't as spicy as he wants it. They were quick and courteous and you can order on grubhub.

The place is okay. A little less than okay. My orange chicken tasted like lollipops were melted on it. Their lo mein was pretty good though. Kind of torn. I really don't know if I'd order here again. Not to mention I ordered at 11am because they said they were going to be open but they weren't and someone ended up calling me at 11:45 asking me if I still wanted to order food. ehh.. Still torn.

The food is tasty and authentic. The prices are fair, and the amount of food you get for them is quite generous, imho. Also, they don't skimp on the meat ingredients, as is so often the case with Chinese restaurants.

I was in Chicago for 3 days of training, and was imprisioned in the infamous United Airlines Training Center (aka the Tilton Hilton) and ordered from the China Garden. The person on the phone was friendly, the delivery driver was quick and courteous, they got the order right, and that's where it began to go down hill... I ordered Gen Tso's, egg roll, and a small order of hot and sour soup, pretty standard fare for any Chinese delivery place. Oh where do I start... the soup had so much corn starch in it that it was gelatious, my spoon literally left a furrow in it, and it wasn't the least bit cooled down yet! The chicken was tough, fatty and the sauce was cloyingly sweet, the egg roll was so overfried that it was hard to bite through. I couldn't finish anything (heck, barely could start it) an absolute avoid at all costs place! I wish there was a negative stars for the review...this place deserves it.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
